- For the Meatballs:
- – 450 grams lean ground turkey

- – 1 1/2 teaspoons dried oregano

- – 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- – 1 teaspoon salt
- – 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven:
- – Preheat the oven to 200°C.
- Prepare the Meatballs:
- – In a large bowl, combine the ground turkey, egg, dried oregano, panko breadcrumbs, chopped fresh basil, red pepper flakes, garlic powder, salt, and ground black pepper.
- – Mix thoroughly until all the ingredients are well combined.

- Bake and Serve:

- – Remove the dish from the oven and gently stir the contents to distribute the melted cream cheese evenly, forming a light and creamy sauce.
- – Serve hot, garnished with extra fresh basil if desired.
Notes
– Use a meat thermometer to ensure that the meatballs are fully cooked, with an internal temperature of at least 74°C.
– If using fresh gnocchi, no need to boil them first. If using frozen gnocchi, make sure to thaw them before adding to the pan.
– For a vegan version, substitute the turkey with a plant-based ground meat substitute and use vegan cream cheese.
– Feel free to add additional vegetables such as bell peppers, zucchinis, or olives for extra flavor.
– Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
